Our School
Message from the Principal
Greetings Covington Elementary Community,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at Covington Elementary! As we embark on a new school year, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for the wonderful experiences and achievements that lie ahead. Our dedicated team is eager to guide and support our students on their educational journey.
I am delighted to introduce myself as your new principal. It is an honor to join this wonderful community and work alongside such talented staff, engaged parents, and enthusiastic students. My goal is to continue the tradition of excellence at Covington Elementary while fostering a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere.
Together, we will ensure that each student reaches their full potential and develops a lifelong love for learning. Covington Elementary will continue our quest in cultivating little leaders with our Leader in Me initiative. Our theme this year is "Little Lions Lead." I encourage you to explore our website, stay informed about upcoming events, and get involved in the various activities and programs we offer.
We would love for you to be part of our PTA! Let your child’s teacher know if you are interested, or visit our school website to get more information.
Reminder – The first bell rings at 7:50, when drop off may begin. School begins at 8:20. Please arrive on time to avoid your child being tardy and losing instructional time.
If you are visiting our school campus to volunteer, attend an event, eat lunch with your child, etc. please make sure you have your ID and check in at the front office. Please keep contact information current through the front office and your child’s teacher. It is important that we are able to get in touch with you at all times.
Let's make this school year a memorable and successful one!
Warm regards,
LaRobyn Houston
